One of America’s Longest-Running Veterans Day Parades Since 1919
Saturday, November 7, 2026
10:30 am Rain or Shine
The Parade starts at the intersection of 11th St. and Liberty Ave. and proceeds down Grant St. and the Boulevard of the Allies
Why has the parade route changed for 2026?
The Boulevard of the Allies was named in the early 1920s to honor the Allied nations of World War I, reflecting Pittsburgh’s strong industrial and military support for the war effort. Its construction symbolized both postwar remembrance and civic pride, linking the city’s role as an “Arsenal of Democracy” to a prominent public landmark. The road stands as a lasting tribute to the soldiers and nations allied with the United States, embedding military commemoration into Pittsburgh’s urban landscape.
The parade features groups representing veterans of all eras, military units, civic and youth groups (including Junior ROTC), businesses, and more. Floats, military and vintage vehicles and other special elements add to the spectacle and excitement.
